Rambler made its market debut in 1950. Nine years later this 1959 model was sold in several trim levels as the "Super," "Custom," "Rebel," "Country Club" "Ambassador" and "Ambassador Custom." The seeming frantic effort to offer a variation of the same car to suit every customer did not pay off. By the mid 1960's the Rambler name would vanish as the company was consumed into American Motors. This model is either a Super or Custom indicated by the center pilar on side windows and lack of ornaments on top edges of front fenders.
