| This beautiful 1960 Corvette is a fine example of the first generation that ended with the 1962 model year. At right is a 1997 Corvette Hardtop that began the fifth generation of Corvette that ran through 2004. The fifth generation Corvette Hardtop was to be an "entry level" 'Vette but only lasted briefly. A 405HP engine was added along with other amenities under the famous "Z06" option. Today most C5 hardtops can be spotted as Z06 by a small black vent just ahead of the rear wheels. If there is no vent with this roof line, its an early model hardtop. Not many made, getting hard to find. (Collectors, get 'em now...before they're hot). |
